I was watching the Ineos story video early this morning and noticed one of the clay models Jim was messing with.
He said "it is fine, but I don't get excited by that"
I definitely agree with him.
Glad that didn't go ahead.
The split side rear doors are much better and very handy.

Not sure where the spare wheel would have gone with that configuration, they would have to shoehorn it underneath. Not so sure that would be the right place on this vehicle.

The catflap arrangement is a bit of a PITA in any vehicle. The split works very well IMO.

Sold the wife's Cayman of 12 years (Cayman, not wife). Was her 40th Birthday present, but sadly it rarely gets used now. About £10,000 of warranty work done last year so now it's going.
We don't want to sell but realise it's doing it no good just sitting there.
It will be a sad day tomorrow.

The wide angle lens on your camera really warped that Porsche's appearance. In the thumbnail I thought it was a TVR or something.

At 6’4” the catflap on my 109 is a near ER/A&E visit every time I walk by!

What was supposed to be a moderately challenging trip through the Abercrombie River National Park in NSW Australia turned out to be a very easy drive, thanks to some recent track work. Nevertheless the rugged scenery, great company and delicious lunch made for an awesome day out.

Repurposed a MaxTrax mount to carry pioneer tools (easy install) earlier this week and for the main event, I installed the 5-foot Kammok awning on the Leitner ACS roof rack today. Huge kudos to Anand for his advice on how he mounted his - saved me a ton of brain damage. Goal, which was achieved, was to have it as low as possible so as not to add significantly to wind-drag. In this configuration it stands around 1.5-2 inches (40-50mm) above the top of the rack, which is the same as the other equipment I have mounted so far.

Had my first leaks in the drivers footwell by the left foot rest AND also in the passenger side by the right foot rest area. Will be in for service soon and will have the dealer look it over. Hopefully can have door button recall done to.

Keen for feedback on how robust the frame and platform is. Only rated to 80kg so wondering if it’s strong enough to handle a 50L fridge and camping load on top, particularly on rough corrugated roads? If it’s strong enough I think this is the way I’ll go. If not I might have a go at putting something together stronger and just buy the boxes.

It’s a good question, and am not sure I can answer. I can say that it’s a fairly solid platform - I just have a small fridge and Labrador on the platform, and have no qualms that it’s strong enough for that. I think if travelling over extended corrugations, I’d need to think about better fixings for the fridge, but it’s fine for what I’m doing with it.

Spent all day working on the camper trailer that I bought second hand, turns out the wiring was a little dodgy. I've been rewiring bits and bobs in-between work for days now. I've spent all day on it today adding a 3000w inverter and wiring in a new battery. The ones it came with were dead... A bit annoying but at least it will be 'right' now. I just got rained off as I was putting the nato plug on the charger wire to the car. Almost there! I'm supposed to be taking out up north tomorrow. Could be a hectic start to the day...

Went by KO in Framingham, MA a couple of weeks ago and fell gaga in love with their MM Quartermaster... especially with the 3/4 canvas installed, but as I have a station wagon, I had to 'settle' for the next best accessory: the GP Factor brush bar. Very pleased.
