It was such a Fun Weekend!I will say that the Moab Grenadier Gathering 2025 was a great fun. And such a great group of people, the nicest people, helpful, welcoming. The Grenadier Culture is wonderful.
I think you are looking foreward to this road trip, I would be and the Beast gets out for the long run...obviously no chance of flying and hire car, so what sort of gear and weight will be onboard? It will be interesting to see the stats of the run...safe and happy motoringThis Saturday 10th May I start my trip driving the Grenadier to Cairns and back for work.
2,896 kms or 1,800 miles and 32 hours roughly driving for the trip up and back.
This is a work trip and I will be calling on customers in Cairns and Townsville.
At around 12 litres/10 kms I will use about 350 litres of diesel plus another 50 litres of local driving for around 400 litres total.
At around $2.00 a litre that makes it about $800 in fuel.

I still have concerns about permanently pushing a momentary contact switch.I installed the GrenadierUSA Button Pusher. Wow, life just got a lot easier. I was surprised what an improvement it made to the start routine.
Video roughly half way down, shows you the mechanism. You can use it and address your concerns with a little effort.I still have concerns about permanently pushing a momentary contact switch.
I can't find a picture of what the switch mechanism looks like but it feels like a membrane switch.
I'm calling BS on this @bigleonski. A 15 year old cannot get a licence or hire a car. Sales and RM? Yeah probably20 odd years ago when I was in a sales/RM role I did a twice yearly trip to visit properties I had on my book up the coast. Would hire a car and drive Brisbane to Cairns with a few inland diversions over a week then fly home.
Awesome road trip. Probably could have managed it yearly, but twice the fun is always better than once.
I love Far North Qld - but only between March and October.
I mean what is behind the push button that actually operates the circuitVideo roughly half way down, shows you the mechanism. You can use it and address your concerns with a little effort.
