What are your favorite “convenience” accessories? Phone mounts, small shelves etc…

I've been trying to search via the forum and I think my GoogleFu is weak. I'm after a similar solution; MagSafe charging that doesn't block vents. Which seems to be on the dash somewhere or near the A-pillar.

Did you find a suitable solution?
I use a bulletpoint mount with their extendable mounting arm.

Really like this solution. Powered via USB and cabling now tidied up. No interference with vents and easy to refer to, while on the move.

Wow, you certainly have some length 🤣🤣
Doesn't it vibrate like hell when you are driving, I found in a previous vehicle it to be annoying with a far shorter appendage.
Vvibrations can be good, but not with the phone mount and no issues at all here. As to length - there is more length available to the arm.

It's a little strange that in this day and age, there's not a better place to put your phone in a Grenadier! I was struggling with this problem as well, but didn't want to block anything. I believe I've landed on the perfect solution: why not use the empty space on the overhead panel?

I've been using this design for the past few months to validate it, and personally, I love it. it keeps your phone out of the way and charging at the same time. it's easy to glance at if you need to, and easy to disconnect/reconnect because the charging is wireless. It also has space for both the driver's and passenger's phones. It is out of your line of sight and out of the way (I'm 6'2"). There's a few caveats though:
1. it does require cutting off the "grenadier" panel, although it's easy, and the factory panel can be reinstalled.
2. it also requires drilling a hole for wires through the under-panel of the middle console (it's easy, and not visible)
3. you have to run power from somewhere... for me it was easy enough to run it down to the driver's footwell, though it takes a little snaking through the panels.

I have it up on my website as a "pre-order" and have a couple of people interested... but if there's enough interest, I'll start producing them. They would come with the two Ram-compatible mount points, and then you could accessorize as you see fit. https://www.octodyne.net/products/p/overhead-mount-for-ineos-grenadier if you're interested or have improvements, I'd love to hear your thoughts here on the forum, or feel free to sign up on the octodyne.com too.

Clever. That looks like an option, though I'm trying to keep the center stack clean, with buttons accessible. Thanks for sharing your setup.

Ohh, I like this. Details? What are the specifics on the mount? How did you mount it?

What about using the grab handle from Agile. I bought it but have not installed it yet as you need to cut a few holes in the A pillar cover. https://agileoffroad.com/product/in...uWq4cJCaM3W9rcarKoRwYaZr17JHDeOKog9eOoOyYk14H

The handle is in consideration, certainly. Especially after I called my local dealer today and found that adding a driver's side grab handle with OEM parts is $350. Yikes.

My reservation with the Agile handle + RAM ball mounts is that the handle stops being a handle and is now only for hanging things off, reducing the usability as a grab handle. I'd love to see how other Grenadier owners are using the Agile grab handle.

I think what I'm coming to is something mounted off or near the A-pillar, or something mounted off the side of the center stack screen. 67 designs seems to have an interesting, if expensive option. https://www.67d.com/products/grenadier-2024-pack?variant=44664648499454
In conjunction with a Peak Designs charging base, I think this could be a viable solution, although it does block the windscreen view a bit.

Looks like it covers a fair bit of the windscreen, I hate anything obstructing my view. Personally @Cheshire cat is the best option I'm just not sure how much i need it as it's all on the main screen anyway?

Are you referring to the 67 Designs option? If so, I'm inclined to agree. The RAM ball apparatus does allow for some repositioning to lower the phone to a minimally obstructed position. So it's still an option, possibly.

I found that after breaking my Quartermaster in this past weekend on some rugged and remote roads, having both the off-road info screen up on the center stack and my favorite maps/nav app up on my phone was a good set-up. So I'd like to have an option where I can mount the phone free of the center stack and still within a quick view of my field of vision.

I still prefer my phone over the center dash vent closest to the driver. Super convenient location for portrait or landscape position that doesn’t interfere with the main display. I just turn that vent off if I don’t want it blowing on my phone.

As simple and inexpensive as it gets. The magnetic, wireless charger was from Amazon at less than $20.00
Sticks onto the side of the instrument dash and can be removed relatively easy with no lasting damage. The wiring can be hidden. I really can’t see any disadvantages.

That's where I had it, down lower blocking the driver vent, but trying this extendable arm to try different positions. Still now sure where I like it thought. It really doesn't block much of my vision where it is in the picture though.

Hi All, I thought I'd share my phone mount/holder/charger (MagSafe) idea for the cleanest and easiest phone mounting solution.
The screw threads on the control panel are all M4 and some MagSafe holders with ball mount come standard with a 1/4 inch thread camera mount. So searching on eBay and Amazon i found this.
Can you please share a link to the MagSafe adapter you showed in the image? Thank you!
