I don't want to start a discussion about sense or not, but in my world, after owning several Defender and Discovery TDI 300 and Td5 i'm convinced that Chip tuning is ok, if You take care of the possible disadvantages.
So was my decision, to get a Tuning box for my Grenadier Diesel. Looks much easier than to get a new file on the ECU with a Nanocom...
The first one, from Speedbuster in Germany, used to throw engine lights. I could erase them, but after I started the engine again the light came back. The difference in power was overwhelming.
So I took it out and sent it back.
Then I ordered a TDI Tuning box. I pluged it in, like suggested, but not LED on the box was working. The engine started but I did not even test drive it, because it was not like the manual told me.
I checked the wiring, but to me it looked great. No engine light came up.
I took the harness out again and now I'm waiting for an answere from TDI Tuning and their recommendations.
