Hello together,
the more I do some work on my Fieldmaster I think about, if the engineers at Grenadier did certain things on purpose or not!
Probably they want to leave opportunities for the owner to make some improvments. May be the hired former engineers from Landrover, esp. from the old Defender.
Today I took the side steps off, to prepare the truck for an underbody protection.
As I took the bolts off that attached the steps to the frame I found out, to cover the bigger long hole in the frame of the steps, they engineers took washers with a hole of 18mm for a bold of 10mm. How should the bold find the center of the washer? By luck?
Then I found out, that the raised airintake is not really good attached to the fender, do not talking about sailed.
It's just hanging in the bolts off the A-Pillar in the fender it is loose. I will have to take the airintake off, attach it and seal it to the fender.
Only little things, but if You buy a truck for that price and the company tells You, "Build to last", You start thinking about.
But so far no serious reason to be sorry, just leaves me the opportunity to improve the Grenadier!
Regards Sauerländer
