I’ll check it out David even though I’m based in the U.K. I do however have the honour of the first Grenadier down Van Zyles pass. 😂

I hope I’m allowed to join as an outsider. I’ve big plans for Africa again next year so keen to glean any information I can on trip ideas.

Okay, since you’re from up north, we’ll pass your membership application to a team for review. They’ll send it to the oversight panel for background checks, and then the findings will go to the chairman and his advisors for the final call.
As you can see, we are very thorough down here!!

Nah, you're more than welcome, Dave!
It will be great to have you on board!

That roll of white gold in the windscreen is a dead giveaway of what people experience when doing van Zyl's!
But it's actually a walk in the park!
To be fair I’ve done it before and it was much easier then.

This time first vehicle down after the rains apparently and we had to do a lot of road rebuilding as very deep gulleys and washed out sections. As you know David the two rolled vehicles at the bottom are a reminder of what can happen when you get it wrong and we were totally on our own. No group tours for us. The Grenadier handled it real well although we were very heavy and sitting low, so the rear bash plate got bashed 😂
Epic campsite at the top before the steep decline. 😍
