Yes but when was development started? The first TATA built discovery was the 2010 LR4 but not sure they had any hand in developing it.
You could be right - I have no idea how long out they need for that stuff TBH. Either way, it sucks.
You can see a lot of LR DNA in the Ford SUVs and have to admit, our 2010 LR4, once they got the surround camera system sorted out, was a rock solid truck and our replacement, a 2016 LR4 is also chugging along very well for a near 10 year old truck.
I do have to admit those new full size are sexy as hell and they no longer look like a Ford Flex
