Ronny Dahl Bought a Quartermaster

Why would you need a chassis extension? Longer canopy? The QM has the turning circle of the QE2, dear god that would be fun in suburbia 😆
I drove my QM as a daily in city when I am not in woods. The turning circle is actually not bad once you get used to it. I have to be selective on garages. When it comes to turning, I just can't do a U turn in middle of city streets. You just don't do that anyways.

A lot of people do around 300 mm chassis extensions on dual cabs utes with only a minimally longer tray because the cars tow better and carry a load better, but the down side is less manuverbility.

But 70 series never loose their value, (as if).
Going by this years insurance premium I just paid for mine the valuation for a current shape V8 79 with a basic set up went up a bit over $1k from the new purchase price. A few other people I know with the V8s have said the same. I can not explain it as every other 4x4 I have had dropped 5 to 10k even the old 79, at each years premium renewal for the first few years. One day the arse will drop out of the market and a 70 will depreciate at the same rate as any other 4x4.
