Relocation of spare tyre

I believe I saw pictures of a QM where the spare tyre was relocated at the far end of the load bed (against the cabin rear wall). Can’t find any reference about this, if anyone has it? On my QM there are no holes to relocate the original holder there, so wondering how it was done.

I've seen this as well, and most commonly with Australian trucks utilizing a third-party tray. Those seem to be trays with a window or a headache rack where they can attach the tire.

Le tech has done this and they used the regular tub. They needed to for 35, reach out to Le Tech or Warner Ineos who is le tech dealer.

Presumably somebody will make a land-rover-esque swing-away wheel carrier at some point. Looks like a massive pain in the balls having it in the load bed but at least they didn’t cop out and mount it under the bed…

I'm also looking for a tire relocation kit of som flavor, but a bumper mount negates the use of the QM as a truck. For me, I intend to haul motorcycles in the bed and a spare tire mounted on a bumper swing-out makes that use impossible.

My dealer suggested a roof mount of some flavor. That makes the tire more difficult to get down from the roof and raises the vehicle's center of gravity.

I feel a flat tray that is extended out getting you almost 6 feet but then a garage for tire is in the cards for you. I know a lot of Jeepers who run 40s just carry plugs and glue treads because the tires are to damn heavy.

That's not a bad idea.

My desire for removing the spare is maily for added cargo volume by way of motorcycles. For proper four-wheeling and adventure travel, I'd keep the spare and tire repair essentials.
