Recall notice

I had all my door handles replaced under warranty a few months ago along with A/C warranty update. Doors sticking again….anyone else have the problem return after they were replaced?
Yes, I encountered this. Had to have my vehicle’s replacement buttons and locks replaced with a follow up visit.

My door locks have just been replaced under this recall, but the rear (small) door has always seemed odd to me, because with the vehicle locked, pressing the button causes something in the door to click and the door moves slightly but won't actually open (the movement is just enough to make me think it is no longer fully closed). This is very different to the front passenger doors on which, when locked, the buttons has no effect on the door whatsoever.

I would have expected the rear door button when locked either not to move at all, or to spring in and out with no resistance at all, but it is as though it is still operating the first stage of the release mechanism. I thought that perhaps the new locks would have change this behaviour but it hasn't.

Is this normal on the rear door, or should I be concerned?

Mine is just like that.

Mine were supposed to have been replaced around three weeks ago. The dealership rang out of the blue saying they had them in stock so they were ready to complete the recall - news to me as I was told that "campaign" had already been completed on my vehicle during Andover after purchase in September. However a series of admin muddles at the dealership meant I dropped the vehicle off one morning and ended up collecting it untouched the following. I won't tempt fate mentioning the current buttons ...but if it ain't broke and all that!

See my post #55 above - I have the exact same issue post lock change.

That’s interesting thanks very much. All helps in fault finding, as I’d assumed it was due to the recall😁👍🏼

Interesting, if you find a fix or get it fixed please do let us know. Fortunately mine doesn't seem to set the alarm off, I imagine there is not quite enough movement to allow the 'door open' switch to activate. Mind you if some lowlife is testing the door to see if it opens perhaps it would be better if the alarm did go off.
