Quirks and other behaviors- the goid, the bad and the ugly

Yes we’ve all read the threads on those things we want fixed, changed or given control over.

But what quirks have you discovered that surprises you?

Ill start with a few of mine:
1. Rear wiper goes on when Reverse is selected (good)
2. Dire Oil low warning- when you’re just a little low ( bad - why not just say add a litre soon??)
3. Spare tire collects mud/ debris and has to be dismounted to clean behind it (ugly)

I got another one- this from the Viking wife: grab handles (5 at last count)….

Is that some kind of comment on my driving??

Does your Grenadier not start if the bonnet (hood) is not closed? When I drove mine off the dealers lot mine was not completely shut and all I got was a warning light.

I have 8 after installing a drivers side (US) grab handle

Ok i had to go out and re count- still 7, and that includes the driver and passenger A pillar grabs. How’d you get 8?

And does anyone have a good recommendation for something to mount on the A pillar handles?

I added one and assumed you counted correctly. The drivers side A pillar grab was a pricey addition.

Interesting. My 5/24 build flashed a warning light with the bonnet not fully latched.
