PSA: Getting access to the Grenadier service manuals

We were just discussing how the old Land Rover Defender docs had part numbers so easy to purchase a copy for use in the field...
I've got a 1959s LR catalogue, very easy to refer to!
Most of us are just screenshotting the main maintenance sections and depending upon risk, saving other sections ; brakes, axles etc.
Starlink makes it easy to consult this forum ( or a dealer) for assistance , anywhere on the planet.
We've come a long way since last century Landies drove to all corners of the globe!

Does anyone know if it's possible to download the workshop manual as a single document for remote area travel. I'd rather not print, just electronic. Thanks

Hi @Claire
Based on what we have seen, with the locked down user profile that IA have created for owners there is no means to download individual documents or the complete workshop manual. Nor is there a print-to-pdf capability although clearly that is a function of the web tool because agents and dealers have provided specific pdf files to customers on occasions.
Our access is view only. You can copy selected text and paste that into a document but that's hardly ideal for an offline reference document.
There are a few compiled pdf docs in the portal, like the body builders guide, but nothing in the workshop manual area.

I just recently listened to the interview with Lynn, and became intrigued again on the service manual. I understand that it’s dynamic to a certain degree in that things change, but is it dynamic in that you can’t really make a PDF of it?

Just to acknowledge that what IA are doing by way of intent, is good. They are trying to modernise and bring to a wider audience, the ability to get to the manuals and be able to do something about it.

It's just the website is really hard to use and perhaps not the most performant interface :(

I just hope the dealers are not using the same web service... It takes ages to find and work through the menus even when you know what you need

They should try the same method we’ve used for 40hrs and let you buy a printed book. Not sure about the wider audience. They’re limited to us that bought them. When I placed my order it was we could take it to any Bosh network shop and have access to the manuals. My place in Houston that’s loads better than dealing with Mossy, European Cars Limited, tried to get docs and was shot down my Ineos. I later went and wrote Ineos and their response was they don’t allow work being done anywhere but the dealer. Wouldn’t even sell parts. Not sure how it’s legal but the only service I’ve had in life that’s worse than Land Rover is Ineos/Mossy.
