I do not need the pick up. But I am interested in 20 cm more cargo room in the back of the SW. Even 20 cm would be great.
But of course I registered as interested for the pick up as well!
I’m basically hoping for the equivalent of a 130 with 7 seats. But I’m not holding my breath.

Ran across this pic randomly (chasing down the location of Atlantis((in the Sahara, of course)) what else would I be doing while waiting for the Grenadier to finally drop) ANYWAY...here's this pic:

Must have been an Australian visiting, that is how we service our cars here, if you had waited around for a while he or she would off eventually come back after finishing morning smoko.

Is this the position for 1: draining the oil, 2: greasing/lubing the chassis, or 3: rotating the tires?

Or all at the same time?!?

Oiled canvas gets my vote. It can be called the Belstaff canopy edition.
Now I really like the sound of that. You need to be making some calls and getting a small royalty for that.

If you don't, I may do. 😉

That looks good. Just please don't use the plastic canopy material JLR moved to on the old Defender.
The original 'mohair' canvas ones used to shrink, you had to stretch them back out again once they were wet. Aesthetically they aged like fine wine :)

The plastic ones were more waterproof and kept their shape better but got brittle with age/tore more easily. Can't win!

What about using sail cloth for the canvas?

It would be interesting to know how long it lasts, how durable it would on a vehicle?

Interesting to see Grenny pick-ups loaded on transporter, I wonder where they're going - picture from FB

From what I read, after you posing the question on what is sail cloth made of these days, High-end laminate sail cloth provides the best option from not allowing overstretch, waterproof/water resistant, cost and durability. Down side is it is heavier but for us that wouldn't matter.
