0W-16, the Skim Milk of motor oil....
In the US market, what engine oil is recommended for the Petrol engine that meets specs and is available to purchase. From what I have read is should be a 0-20 viscosity. DaBull

Officially, I would go with whatever the sticker under the hood or the owner's manual states, assuming it is like the rest of the B58s, it should be anything that meets either BMW LL01FE or LL-14FE+; although, based on a quick Googling' of what B58 owners in other vehicles (BMW/Mk5 Supra) are using, it seems to be all over the board. As with all the Euro vehicles I've worked with over the past 20+ years, oils meeting the spec are more important than what weight/viscosity it says on the bottle (for instance, for many brands their VW502.00 approved oil was a 5W-30 or 5W-40, but for Mobil1 it was 0W-40)
