So for the benefit of the forum and at great expense to myself, I have purchased the front and rear hub nuts for the Grenadier. So that amongst us we can try and find cheaper pattern parts or parts from other manufacturers that may be cheaper. Also so that someone can identify a specific tool to fit the rear hub nut . The rear hub/ring nut was £82.95 + vat and the front hub nut was £85.17 + vat. So bloody pricey. Both nuts are a 1.5mm thread. The rest you can decipher from the photos.

I have this firmly in the ‘cross-that-bridge-when-I-come-to-it’ category (see driveshaft).

Looks like the same nuts used on the SCAM built Iveco Daily 4x4. Over $700aud for the four from Iveco.

Was a source for the rear axle nut socket found? Part number CA119168. It has an inner diameter of 75mm which would work well enough with the 71mm outer diameter.

Someone posted an image but I don't remember who. I saved a screen shot of it if anyone wants me to post it.

Maybe worth a try taking the nut to a VW, Renault or Mercedes Sprinter van workshop and see if it fits in the dual their wheel hub nut socket. Or try an Iveco service shop that repairs the 4x4s. Going by the tool shop listings The VW/Sprinter 6 pin socket has the closest OD 74mm and 68mm ID for the keys like shown in the photos. Sprinter hub nut is M55 x 1.5 for the dual wheel axle.

-Endeavour tools AU. ET9073 Sprinter/Crafter 6 tooth socket 1/2" drive
May have to tack weld 75mm ID ring around the keys to add more strength for th torque.
