Owl Outdoors - Let's Talk Grenadier Parts!

I did not order the light bar because the plus version says harness was not available. Did they just mean that it comes with a harness from OEM? Not clear at all. MAybe I will order this if it does have some type of harness.
I purchased the plus version, it comes with the OEM Harness.

If you hit it in the end it will stress crack until the next fastener. Ensure the screws stay tight, if it does have the rigid backing of the aluminum without a way to flex then a good rock impact could sheer it.
I think that is the point of using the UHBMW. It protects the aluminum by having give leaving less stress on the mount points. I've seen it used everywhere in the off-roading that I've been researching, it seems to be the go too for peeps who want to replace the cheaper material rather than the hard material. It's also slick to git so I assume that would also provide some sort of benefit while off-roading? I for one will be getting the OWL just because it offers it "IF" it doesn't detract too much from clearances. :) I do wonder to your point if it breaks off is there other supporting to keep the aluminum backing tight or not? My neighbor has a solution like this on his RZR but it has a way for him to swap the UHMW and keep the strength on as well. I think its because Aluminum tears and steel scraps, so with UHMW it is like giving Aluminum ability to slide and gouge with out the tear keeping weight down. ???

My Can-Am Maverick RC (Rock Crawler) Turbo R comes with a full UHMW skid plate on it. It works amazingly, sometimes too much though if you are off camber as you will slide down hill. It is a solid sheet though without gaps to get hung up on stuff. Those gaps are my only concern. Maybe its not an issue but only time will tell.

It appears that the UHBMW screws to the aluminum and the aluminum bolts to the Grenadier.
