When will an oil change reset be rolled out for everyone? Driving 5.5 hrs to a dealer for an oil change is not practical.

OK, so this would be a breakthrough. You can clear the oil change reset with the Ancel BM700 can clear the engine oil light. This is one of its primary functions, as it is a diagnostic tool specifically designed for BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce vehicles.
The feature is typically found under the "Service Functions" or "CBS (Condition Based Service) Reset" menu within the scanner's software. After performing an oil change, you can use the BM700 to:
- Reset the Oil Life Reminder: This turns off the oil service light and resets the vehicle's internal computer so it can begin calculating the next oil change interval based on driving conditions and time.
- Clear Fault Codes: The tool can also read and clear any related fault codes that may have been stored in the vehicle's engine control unit (ECU). So, if you need a scanner for your BMW to reset the oil light, the Ancel BM700 is designed to perform that function. If you buy the Ancel BM700 do not get the "PRO" model. This Pro model will scan your Vin, our Vin is Ineos not BMW. With the Ancel BM700 you can quickly get into your vehicle's systems by following this cheat sheet. I love using this device.

Tips for connecting successfully:
- Ignition ON (press start button without brake/clutch until all dash lights are lit)
- Wait 10–15 seconds for all ECUs to wake up before plugging in the scanner You van find this on Walmart $89.00 and AliExpress. $87.00. Which suggests the reset is in the INEOS coding, not the BMW ECU.OK, so this would be a breakthrough.
FYI the service reminder is not algorithmic in our case: it is based on calendar day, odometer and engine hour set points, whichever comes first.
This is indeed 'manna from heaven' if it has the extensive utility for the IG described for the G20 3-series BMW.You can clear the oil change reset with the Ancel BM700 can clear the engine oil light. Do you have this or just going off product description? If the latter then I assume this is not a solution..You can clear the oil change reset with the Ancel BM700 can clear the engine oil light. Some pissed off lawyer who owns a grenadier should just keep their legal department working and charging overtime.. pretty soon their cost benefit analysis will come around..Reality is Ineos will have to release their data to the OBDII market soon enough. Maybe not full diagnostics but certainly rudimentary stuff like service reminder resets and such. Otherwise at least us state side dwellers will have a class action option available.
I seem to remember that @IslandFalconer tried with the BMW dealer software ISTA without success. I doubt a $50 scanner would do the jobIt’s a see it before I’ll believe it scenario… share a video of the BM700 actually being used on a Grenadier (note the vehicle production date and software version just in case that matters) and see if it really works then we’ll know if we have a good solution for the pesky service reminder.
