From what I can gather, he was very happy with the way the factory engine dealt with the crankcase fumes.
His only issue was with the gen 1 engine diaphragm valve. The Gren is gen 2.

looking at the you tube video he makes a good case for oil catch cans. However he does say
that if you cut up the bmw part that separator is there. How ever what he call clean is what I
call dirty. Also you tube should be taken with a huge grain of salt. It is too expensive for me
to buy a part and then cut it up. Cheap to buy a oil catch can and will run it for 5,000 miles
and see what I get. This way I will have proof as to what is happening, see you in 5000 miles.
Will be finishing up the mounting bracket.

The BMS kit is quite nice, I have their charge pipe installed as of yesterday.

How do you have the catch can mounted? I know the resonator gets removed from the stock airbox. Trying to grasp how the can is mounted in the area between the Hi-temp coolant reservoir and the airbox.

How do you like the catch can? Are you collecting a noticeable volume of blow-by oil?

Oil separation is integral to the B58 cylinder head cover.
