Need advice for a second car

I drove this Bronco Heritage yesterday. NICE feel for city driving, wasn’t expecting it to feel so smooth. Great open view. Responsive. Loved it in every way. Not as much as my G of course. Hopefully going to drive a Jeep today. Going to specifically try a Sahara since I’ve read that of all the models, the Sahara might be best for city driving

Just for fun, try out the Ford Mach-E GT. I did and I fell in love with it. I never (never) thought I would fall in love with an electric car. Its great for in and around town. Back in September, Ford was offering some great deals, offers and financing - not sure if they are still around, but worth a test drive. Good luck.

Bronco is a good choice. There are recalls and some things to watch for (google Bronco MIC top problems), but a solid choice. If you fancy a manual, it only comes in the smaller 2.3 engine, but there’s plenty pep if you combine with the ford performance tune that brings the power up to where it should be. It’s a Ford product so warranty stays.

I drove a Jeep on Wednesday and bought it Thursday! Loooove it for city driving, it’s surprisingly smooth — wasn’t expecting that. I think this was a good choice — I still have an SUV to haul stuff, but a decent city car, and still fun.

Sooooo… I shall continue to *allow* my husband to monopolize *my* Grenadier. Honestly, he works so hard and he totally deserves the Grenadier. It just makes us both laugh that he has never loved any car in his entire life and was never into my love of the Defender — but then he drives a Grenadier and is obsessed after 1 day!!!

At the risk of sounding like a wimp, I gotta say I do feel more confident driving the jeep around the city and on the freeways. I’m always a bit anxious driving the IG bc it’s so wide and I feel like people are always on the verge of veering into me (especially in PHX omg!). It’s a lot of car for a very petite person. Whereas in the Jeep, I feel much more in control and can see better for some reason.

Thank you for all of your great advice!

Well, at least give us a picture

I did look at a Rubicon but they don't sell the diesel over here anymore so it would have to have been a year or 2 old and there's not much choice plus the prices also jumped. The Grenadier was a lot more useful for my needs and I was never going to take the roof off the Jeep even though I would have really wanted to.

Enjoy your new Jeep

I still think you should have turfed the hubby out of your car🤣

At least you both get to enjoy it😀
I know right?!? To be fair, he has said several times that the Grenadier could be my main car and he’d be happy getting something else. But I know how in love with it he is; plus, as an artist I work from home, so the Grenadier would just sit there. It deserves to be out in the world 🤩.

I 'work' from home and mine sits there🤷‍♂️
Let's see some of your artwork then.

Not a wimp at all, just honest with yourself and those here. Your lack of a male over inflated ego has made you happier.

On the search list for a next wife, is a woman that buys ME a car.... Of course, if I head down that road again, it'll be a necessity... there's only so many times you can divide by two before calculus kicks in and the area under the curve approaches zero.

I've gone for the, 'just put up with the first one you bought and keep it as a fixer upper'. After all, you never get your money back and they don't go up in value with age either.
