Just picked up my QM Fieldmaster Saturday! Ordered in September , 2024.
Traded in my Jeep Gladiator Mojave, so not a big leap in size. But a major leap in quality.
Build:
Scottish White
Contrast Ladder Frame - HALO Red
Leather Trim - Grey/Black
Saddle Leather Driver's Pack
Smooth pack
Differential Locks Front & Rear
High Load Auxiliary Switch Panel & Electrical Preparation
After Market:
Fox Steering Stabilizer
Ineos Steps
Window tint and ceramic clear on the windshield
Ceramic coating entire truck
First Impressions:
The Good:
Love the look of the truck! People are always coming up to me and telling me how cool it is
Doors slam with a solid thud, and my wife needs to really muscle the heavy door shut.
Build quality seems top notch
I have driven the station wagon with and without the fox stabilizer. It definitively helped with the return to center in the SW (but not perfect)
In the QM it is just about perfect. Without a
ton of corrections keeping in lane
I love the heavy feeling of the steering. Feels like you are in command and the truck needs to be driven.
The ride is smooth and quiet. Again coming from the Gladiator , a open air tractor would have been more quiet and smoother than the Gladiator
Engine is great. Same HP as the Gladiator, but so much smoother and much more torque. I would have kept the Gladiator forever, but I absolutely hated the engine, just a gutless . loud POS.
If Jeep would have offered the 392 in the Gladiator , I would have kept it for life. But Jeep isn't in the business of giving customers what they want.
Transmission is amazing, shifts smoothly and efficiently
.
The ride quality of the QM is better than the SW because of the longer wheelbase.
Air Conditioning blows really cold, Saturday it was in the 90's in Boise and the truck was freezing inside.
Heater works really well, and the heated seats can soft poach an egg. Investing in asbestos underwear to protect the jewels.
Stereo sounds pretty darn good, deep bass and but the highs are a little tinny .
Seats feel awesome, wish they had some lumbar support options
Apple wireless car play works well. People on the forum have complained about bad audio on phone calls. Mine have been crystal clear
The not so good , not so bad:
Storage sucks! The Gladiator had the entire under back seat worth of storage. Zero storage under the QM backseat.
The little tiny glove box and center console are much help.
No lock/unlock button on any of the passengers doors. WTF.
Tailgate does not lock / unlock with the key fob. Must be locked manually ( I would have expected that on a >100K truck)
No wired Apple Carplay (looks like that might have been deleted in the 2025, but I might be wrong)
Ordered Upgrades:
Pedal Tuner from DBG
Was going to tune the engine with Blue Spark tuner
bluesparkautomotive.com
But the car is much more peppier than I thought it would be , so I'm rethinking that
If DBG comes out the Kooks Exhaust for the QM, I will order that. If not I will install the Miltek exhaust.
Nick , Kamal and Jake from Lyle Pearson INEOS Grenadier in Boise have been fantastic to deal with.
