Model Year 2026 (MY26) – Confirmed & Speculated Changes

You guys must be a bunch of younglings lol. I've had extensive time driving recirculating ball steering vehicles (especially Mercedes). And they've all got this play in the center where you can move the wheel an inch or two in either direction without having the vehicle move. My dad's 1970's S class was this way. My 300CE was this way. And my R129 SL500 is also the same way. I do prefer rack and pinion steering systems like on my Porsche 997.2 Carrera GTS, but for an off-road truck like the Grenny, it should be perfectly fine. Throw that adjustable Fox stabilizer on there and adjust the bump stops, and call it a day. As for the ADAS nannies - I'd turn all that crap OFF.

In regards to the HVAC system, the two big questions for me are: How good of an improvement has INEOS made to the HVAC system on the 2026 model? How likely is INEOS to fix and improve the older 2023 - 2025 models? As far as I know, INEOS has been replacing the whole unit for customers who have had significant issues with either heating or cooling which is probably a costly repair for them.
Thanks for the post. Are they really replacing HVAC system? My wife has a 2024 with about 10 K on it and that is her biggest grip cold air in the winter hot air in the summer perfect. Oh, we've received from the dealer is put it on auto which does absolutely nothing.

your dealer is useless, they need to keep bleeding the system until ALL of the air is out, not do it just once and say that it's as good as it gets, lazy

And stupid - the HVAC system does not have enough vertical distance to make bleeding easy - it can, and often does, take multiple attempts, ideally from cold to work.

I followed the bleeding/purging procedure 3 times.

It now works fine on auto. A bit slow to react so I have resist the temptation to keep adjusting it up or down until it settles at the set temperature.

Is there a link to that process? I did a search but to my skills cannot get it to show up.

You do have to be patient with it and don't get it hot for too long as you need to cool it to get working 'normally'' again.
I like to cook my feet but after 30mins or more of full heat on my feet it won't operate mid temps unless I blow cold air through everything and cool the cabin.

Since Christmas I’ve been slowly compiling an off-line document which I can print and put in my glove box that captures information missing from the owner’s manual and other useful bits and pieces.

I’ve now got it to a point where its ready to share with forum members. You can download the new PDF using the following link:

Use link at top of page now

The forum has been a great source of information so thank you all for your efforts. Posts I’ve drawn information from are referenced (if you need further info) and members acknowledged in the document.

I’ll update the link in this post and post an alert in the thread when I update the document. Any feedback, corrections or even additions are welcome. Happy for you to share provided you make acknowledgement to this thread.

If you print it out either use an A5 page and shrink to fit or an A4 booklet in adobe reader print settings..

May you find it useful.

Cheers

We are in agreement. I am happy to have my '24. The ADAS updates are not an improvement and the camera in the mirror is a downgrade. I like my Wolfbox mirror too much to give it up. But it could be nice to have the new steering box with variable ratio. At some point it will be available as a spare part and I might have it swapped in.
100% agree. My wife's escalade has face camera behind the steering wheel. Not to mention the seat vibrates instead of having a loud bong.

I am anxious to see the electronics involved in the camera in the mirror. I wonder if it is separate wiring form the auto dim (assuming there are electronics to the auto dim) where one could replace it with a camera/sensor like other cars have. I do know that if you cover the mirror a light comes on, on the telltale.

Thanks

Quick questions with these sections.

• Temperature knob to maximum Does this mean max cold or max hot??? Mine goes both ways here.
.• Auto A/C off. Does this mean Auto mode off, or Auto and A/C off? I have a button for the AC and one for the Auto mode?

Thanks

I took it as max heat

Not sure on other question, it's a while back since I did mine

When done do some miles and run procedure again when cold. Eventually it will work.

Has anyone tried installing a wolf box on a 26? What actually happens and is there a workaround? Potentially a deal killer for me. Prefer hvac and steering on 26 but not sure if at the expense of rear camera mirror.

Easy enough to turn it off.
For those who have not yet watched - at about 27:45 is when the racap starts. The first 27 mins is just them driving around and messing with the ADAS system settings and doing some trial and error with it.
