Model Year 2026 (MY26) – Confirmed & Speculated Changes

I haven't been on the IA website in some time and while poking around just now I saw this: "heated windshield." I cannot find any other information. Do they simply mean there's a front defrost button as has been since day one or is this now something different (ie heating elements in the glass)?

I wondered the same thing. As far as I can tell, there is nothing to support a true heated windshield and the reported dual zone HVAC they refer anywhere when I sat in a 2026 model on the lot.

Makes sense to add, it's not that big a deal to include. I get the idea from day 1 was simple but the world doesn't want that, there are very few of us cavemen left where anything more that the wheel is just too much technology to handle

Oh boy if this is true there is going to be another set of complaints from people find the heating elements distracting. lol I have seen LR owners complain about it but at the same time love heads up display. Note: look through the windshield not AT the windshield.

I was just on the page yesterday quickly and noticed a huge update to the look, feel and navigation. Looks nice. Heard a tumor that there is a dealer company to New Orleans so just visited for curiosity sake.

I like it in the NAS, but, I got to paranoid as one went on about chips and a crack.

That would be one more thing in a flat faced off-road truck to spend $$$ on when it broke. I bet nowadays, you’d get some incessant warning about it not working, if you broke it and replaced it with a 1/4 price plain piece of glass.

Good point. I've had broken windshields in all 3 vehicles that I had heating elements in but never got an annoying warning. In a perfect world there should not be a warning for not having something like the windshield heating plugs attached but no matter what vehicle we drive there will probably always be something that us owners have an issue with. The person at any vehicle manufacturer that makes these decisions probably doesn't even own a car.

I was looking at dealer inventory pics and one had glass that looked quite different to my MY24.1.
