For those that have the LRA fuel tank, did you notice any reduction in clearance over obstacles?
Does it have a skid plate?

I use the metal cloak extra brace for the rear muffler skid plate. Is this compatible with the lra tank?

I'm basically trying to figure out if the lra tank is compatible with rock climbing?

I have the diesel tank but it's very similar below the mounts (the petrol tank is taller)

The LRA info says the skid is retained for the petrol aux tank - same as the diesel tank - so the departure clearance is unchanged.

The metalcloak bracket appears to occupy the same space above the skid as the LRA tank so I expect you cannot have both installed.

Or after you bash your stock skid, just raw-dog it.😂

Seriously, those tanks are tough. I've put a few scratches in mine now and may Permabond some sort of HDPE to it. for a little extra glide over rocks.

ok, i'll give it some thought. worst case i go back to the factory skid plate holder if i decide to purse the LR tank.
I really like that tank though....

have you wired it up to one of the overhead switches or did you all mount an extra switch? I am in favor of as mounting it stealthy.

The LRA kit instructions are to wire it to INT2 but that's most likely for installer convenience. The quantity level gauge unit is also an on/off switch so the supply circuit doesn't need to be switched.

I switched mine through INT2 but used a splice behind the RH foot panel to power additional "whatever" in the future.
Using Switch 5 with INT2 also allows one to top up from aux tank when parked. This recalibrates the computer like a normal servo stop and precludes the computer storing annoying reminders of low fuel well after the aux contents have been transferred, if the pump switch is activated while driving...🤷‍♂️
