Let's get some perspective: Is your Grenadier AC working as it should?

Who else's AC is batsh1t crazy and randomly blows hot air one day and cold the next on the exact same setting? I don't think the AC system got the attention it deserved during the 1.2 million miles of road testing, that's for sure. I love my new truck but it's the one thing that drives me nuts on pretty much a daily basis as I fiddle away at the controls and I'm surprised Ineos haven't found a fix for it yet. I gather it's down to sticky solenoid valves or such like and is probably an expensive warranty concern for them.

It would be useful to set up a poll on this forum and get an idea of what percentage and numbers of owners here have flaky AC. This forum must represent a decent amount of the Grenadier owner population, perhaps it would help sharpen Ineos' perspective on the issue if it popped up on every Google search relating to Grenadier AC issues. I don't have the ability to raise a forum poll but maybe @Stu_Barnes would consider it a worthy exercise

Just chiming in to say my Grenny takes about 7 hours to pump out some lukewarm air. In summer, the cold air coming out is OK’ish but not super cold either.

Based on this thread it seems like there’s not really any solution.. other than to accept that the HVAC system in the Grenadier is just crap?
Definitely something wrong. Mine can give ferocious heat in -15C air temp. Was 30C here last weekend and the AC was too cold. Sounds like yours needs coolant system checked over and bled - there is a specific procedure they do.

Just for clarity, mine is not perfect, trying to get it somewhere comfortable in between too hot and too cold is tricky at times 😂

My experience of the HVAC is exactly like yours. I’ve taken the lower foot vent apart panel and lagged the area of the pipe recommended and there is still small drips of water but only on a hot humid day.

My other conclusion is the condensation drips is dripping from inside the foot vents caused by the blend door open inbetween hot and cold. Today, the AC was freezing cold so cold it can caused the front windscreen to condensate on the outside (set at 23 degrees). Set at 25 degrees, hot roasting air blows out of the rear vent. It’s weird to say the least.

Don't lose hope @HugoB. I previously worked with some public servants that spent 7 hours and 36 minutes each day pumping out lukewarm air so your situation could be worse.

I think there are a number of owners that have had success after cooling system bleeding and an A/C gas leak check and recharge. This is for an improvement in temperature not regulation control - different problem.
😆

I assume this is a warranty situation to have the system checked and/or recharged?
