Installed LeTech ladder and used it for a water Jerry can from OnTap (which doubles as a shower with a pump which is pretty handy).
Unfortunately, when the Jerry can expands in the sun, it rubs against the back door panel and scratches. Also worth noting that dirt and other debris can get caught and also cause deeper damage which we had with the paint essentially entirely gone in some areas.
Some photos for reference

Whilst LeTech website says it is designed for a water jerrycan as well as fuel, unless it doesn’t change shape and expands I would advise against it. Also worth noting that debris may still get caught on the trail like branches and small rocks

Yep this an issue I had as well. I recently bought it up with the dealer I bought the ladder from who said they hadn't had any feedback like this. They were interested though and were going to pass on the feedback to Le Tech. I thought the cover that you can buy for the On Tap would help prevent rubbing but with the cover on it doesn't fit.

One thing I noticed while showing the technician was that my ladder angled inwards towards the top. As a result the top of the jerry can is closer to the panel than the base of the jerry can - is yours like this? Almost like the top two mounting points needed a spacer to push them out another 5-8mm or so. That said, I don't think this would fix the issue totally.

My solution was I made a rub pad out of marine EVA decking. I don't have a photo but will add one when i get home this evening.

Another minor issue i have with the ladder is if the metal handle of the fastener is all the way down and a full jerry is on the rack, the handle contacts the bottom rung when trying to lift it up. It eventually will remove the paint coating.

Thanks for sharing. Are you planning to fix the scratches to paint on the door to prevent potential corrosion or leave it as is.
Probably not a massive job for a panel beater but still gauging whether it’s worth doing

They weren't as deep as they appeared fortunately. I had some lantana drag marks along the side of the vehicle also so I bought a Milwaukee cordless polisher. From memory that buffed out most of the marks prior to putting the eva pad over the top.
