I had one gone to and was being fixed by the dealer whilst in for other works. I wouldn’t have expected an oil seal to fail at this early stage of the game.

it looks like there is misting around the diff as well, might be the same oil traveling laterally - or I fear there is another leak :/

Is that the diff leaking? Or the end of the axle (called swivel housing, as well?)?

AWo

I will need to get under the car when i get home later today, but there is definitely oil along the tyre and in the middle of the axle

Regarding my rear axle oil leak, it needs a special tool to tighten and torque the hub nut apparently. It’s not a 41mm hub nut as I was informed and posted earlier but a 75mm 6 lug nut that requires a bit of kit of which there is only one in the U.K. apparently. Although Compass are agricultural dealers and could possibly find the right kit , they are not allowed to improvise and have to wait for the correct kit to torque up the axle hub nut apparently. Also the new gearbox that has been fitted needs to be coded and can’t be done from the U.K. and awaiting whoever from the factory to do coding remotely. That’s as far as I understand so don’t ask me any really technical questions.😂

Apparently the same socket as the rear wheel bearings on Iveco Daily 4x4 with Carraro axles Part No 99355172 or Mark-Moto Part No WAR622

did @Tom D have to improvise when he disassembled his hub - can't remember if front or back.
You could do it with a torque multiplier, but have to do some maths according to the multiplier ratio. I guess Ineos don’t want to leave anything to chance, incase the technician isn’t any good at maths. So the special tool only can be used by Ineos agents. They have to share the only one around the country 😂

unbelievable...

Oil is dripping from the nut highlighted in yellow... But the entire area around and above it is super oil saturated, highlighted in green.

It's interesting to note that the entire plate is not square with the housing it's attached to! Clearly visible on the pic with the yellow mark.

Looks like the lower king pin has shifted. Maybe loose. It could be an optical illusion but is that shiny metal on the part I indicated in red.

I think that's just light reflecting off. But I will get a picture square off the side once it stops raining.

There is this other thing, definitely oil misting but no clear view of where it's coming from... Screenshot_20250828-201655.png

Wow just wow, every time and I do mean every time I decide no Ineos is going in the right direction I will buy one this kind of crap pops up, you just couldn’t make this crap up..
Oil leaks special tools that nobody has and 600 nm on a hub nut
The comment above sums it up in one word UNBELIEVABLE

The central body cover/diff cover may have shifted there. I knocked mine and shifted it whilst on a rocky trail and that caused a very slow weep of oil.
