Interior light behavior Strange

Got my lights fixed, unfortunately it was way more involved than just a software reset.

For the second row, the switch itself was faulty. So they swapped that.

For the third row, which apparently never worked, they had to rip everything open and fix the wiring by doing an overlay. Apparently the wire going to that third row/cargo bay light was either shorted or just dead.

Took a while but now all three rows work and work as intended.

I need a beer.

So I turned on the “automatic” interior light mode today, where the interior light turns on when you open the door.

The button for “Automatic” has a faint red LEF, to indicate enablement. However it appears this red light never turns off.. I have the door closed for couple of times. Everything in the interior is dark, except for the red led on this button.

I think you will find it will eventually fade out - mine is a ‘23 model and it seems to take forever to go out - I suspect they are an extremely low draw led which takes a little while to use up any residual power in the system. I’m no electrician, but that’s my take on it!

Mine is left permanently in the on position but I have never noticed the red led indicator light on.
