Infotainment change

Mine is the same, everyone complains about the sound quality saying there is lots of background noise. This is whether I'm stationary or drivings slowly or at speed. I can here everyone really clearly in the vehicle. The dealers acknowledge an issue but say there is no solution yet.
This is one of the issues that I have, for the price we all paid then the system should work perfectly, I don’t think I’ve ever driven a vehicle that cost over £70k that people couldn’t hear me speaking in it.

It is unacceptable especially for my company when customers get annoyed with it. If you can buy a little hands free mic that goes in your ear for a few pounds you would have thought they could have got this right.

On a nother note, I told the wife about your trip when you were travelling, someone on here said you were on Instagram, so she started to follow you (i don't do social media bar this site). She was so impressed with all your pictures and bravery to do such an adventure on your own. It is something I would love to be able to do. I hope you keep the vehicle and continue with your adventures and show us what we can do and maybe encourage some of us to be a bit more adventurous.
It's such a shame you have lost your local dealer to service your vehicle especially as you keep saying that you do love the vehicle. It would be a loss to the Grenadier community if you were to sell up.
If you must sell, possibly try Chester as they have said they are after vehicles but how true that is or what they would pay?

Look, does it really matter? Reality is just perception. If your perception is good, life is good, if it’s bad, life is bad. If it’s a telephone pole and I get along with it, does it really matter?

I'd find full signal and call the dealer (granted not many left here now) on phone's speaker while sitting in the gren and ask him whether hearing loud and clear, if yes then I'd hang up and call him thru the car system and ask for an opinion and if much audible difference a replacement of the mic on next necessary visit.

Hi Annee, it is a known Ineos issue, but I trust you have (be it iPhone or Android) done everything to remove your phone from the equation. Completely disconnect your phone from the vehicle, turn your phone off and restart it, if it is android go into the App on the phone and check all the settings, and then reconnect back to the vehicle.

What settings do you need to check on an android phone that will affect the in car mic quality?

None that will impact on the car mic, but if you have turned off the phone it is just as well to check the App settings to make sure it hasn't altered/defaulted the previous settings, just good practice
