Ineos does a 180 on Grenadier prices in U.S. amid signs of softer demand

This may be behind a paywall but basically the article just says Ineos is reducing US prices by 9.8% after a previous rise. This means the starting price went from $76,700 to $80,500, and now down to $72,600.

Naturally.

But it’s paired with the world’s worst altimeter. My truck thinks it’s a submarine - I live at sea level and while parked right next the Atlantic it usually reads in the negative 80s. ⚓
Once you get in mountains, it is spot on.

I live 800 metres from the Southern Indian Ocean, at about 10 meters above sea level, and my Ineos altimeter tells me that I am 40 to 50 metres below sea level, so about 130 to 160 feet depending on time of year.
I will have to check if I can recalibrate it.

Doesn’t really matter if mine is accurate or not. I can hardly read the damn thing either because of reflection or dim light.

Wasn't it mentioned elswhere here that the logic of the backlight is inverted? Means gets _brighter_ when you turn on headlights & vice versa?
Should be dead simple to correct this during a software update...

Regarding the recent price drop, and my conversation with my dealer about surplus stock and not having 3 years of new vehicles on the lot at the same time. So there is a lot of chatter about the new price reduction. I guess that's on top of what they offered 6 months ago. My '24 Trialmaster with a lot of boxes checked was $100k, I got a dealer incentive of aboutv $3K, Ineos Military incentive of about $3K and an ineos conversion incentive of about $3k because i proved I owned a Jeep wrangler, dropping my price by about $9k. So i'm guessing the new incentive would be on top of all those and be annother almost $10k off. So My Gren is a March '24 build #20414 that I picked up in April '25. I was at the Dealer for my routine monthly visit fixing known issues mentioned in hundreds, maybe thousands of posts on this forum and the various FB pages. While killing time I counted Grens on the lot. My dealer had about 50 Grens altogether on the lot. The breakdown was about 30 new '24's, about 10 used trade ins and loaners for sale and about 10 '25's including a few Quartermasters. So on the '25's I started looking at the VIN#'s the newest one I found was 28,xxx something. so from my 3-4-024 #20,414 build to the newest '25 I could find on the lot in the biggest SUV country/market in the world at one of the biggest dealers in the USA there are only 8,000-ish spread?? We've all read the factory has a 30,000 unit annual capacity matching their sales goals of the same. Regarding the recent price drop incentive, this is interesting timing because when I asked the dealer what happens in a few months when you start getting '26 models and your likely to still have new '24's on the lot. The dealer responded that Ineos has said they'll incentivise the dealers to send any remaing new '24's out for auction. Looks like this coming Jan/Feb will be a great time to get a new '24 leftover.

The trouble with the leftover '24s still seems to be the no-locker ones. Too bad ARB hasn't made air lockers for Grenadiers, otherwise I'd bet those will be a great value option.

Something must be headed our way in terms of overall auto industry. I'm seeing lot more incentives from various car makers.

Meaning there’s a bunch of odd ball orders where people did not spec the lockers. Not that you couldn’t get lockers on MY 2024.
