We had some snow (north east usa) and while digging out, I started the car. The windshield wiper switch was on (the wipers twitched but did not move). It threw a warning light. After moving the car and finishing up and rebooting the computer a couple times, I still have a warning about a wiper error (with the orange warning triangle on the front dash).
How do I reset this?
Tnx

But are the wipers now working with the error or still not working? Had the wipers frozen to the windscreen if they were left on? Blown a fuse would be my first check or check for power at the motor.

Wipers work fine. Error was triggered while there was still lots of snow and the switch was accidentally engaged. Its still there.
It seems that once triggered that error/warning has joined the service one and is still popping up and needs to be reset. There has to be a way to reset it..

From a recent conversation with the service tech, there are lots of little warning like this that may trigger, but will clear themselves with a little time when the car finally realizes it’s working fine. A simply code reader can possibly clear that one. To be fair, my question was about the SBR warning, not a wiper error, but the same logic would apply I believe.

Have you tried to cancel it in the warnings menu on the infotainment screen. Or done a infotainment hard reboot

I have a yellow warning to refuel even when the tank is full. I can clear it each time I drive by pressing and holding the mute button for approx 30 seconds until the main screen goes blank, it then restarts with no warnings. Slightly inconvenient but I am not inclined to make a visit to the dealers until the service and MOT are due in May.

Have a look at the fuel cap to see if it’s screwed on properly or it needs cleaning. Possible fuel pressure leak.
