Ich finde es ziemlich unhöflich (um das mal gelinde ausdrücken), dass einige unserer amerikanischen und australischen Freunde mit einer Selbstverständlichkeit in Englisch in dem deutschsprachigen Teil des Forums posten. Aber wahrscheinlich lässt deren Bildungsniveau nur eine Sprache zu.

Ich denke, dass das nicht abfällig ist, wenn Amiland Trumpistan genannt wird. Umgekehrt werden Deutsche hier im Forum ja auch Krauts genannt, ohne dass sich gleich jemand darüber aufregt.
Abfällig wäre es, wenn ich sagen würde, dass Trumpistan von einem amerikanischen Volltrottel als Präsidenten regiert werden würde.
Im übrigen ist der Ausdruck Trumpistan bei meinen Freunden und Bekannten als Bezeichnung für eine autokratische Regierung relativ etabliert und normal.

You are demeaning my country and you are demeaning a large portion of the members of this forum. I don't think it belongs and i for this to be a functioning forum we have to be respectful to each other.

You may have normalized its usage amongst your friends and perhaps it is socially acceptable to demean others within your circle of friends. That doesn't mean it is appropriate, and especially not in a global forum. I have never used the derogatory term you referenced and if would have seen it i would have spoken out the exact same way.

Vielleicht sollte man aus gegenseitiger Höflichkeit und Respekt einfach diese politische Diskussion beenden.

Fakt ist, der Amrikaner hat mehr Nationalstolz als es uns Deutschen jemals wieder gestattet sein wird und da kann so eine Redewendung wie "Trumpistan" eben sehr negativ aufstoßen.

Unsere Regierung mit einem Kanzler Friedrich Merz, der alle Wahlversprechen gebrochen hat und als Regierungsoberhaupt eine Vollkatastrophe ist, führt mich als mittelständischen Unternehmer mit 250 Mitarbeitern in Versuchung, das Land zu verlassen, aber mein Nationalstolz verbietet es mir. Jede Nation hat ihr Päckchen zu tragen und damit sollte es einfach auch gut sein, ohne jemand anderem auf den Schlips zu treten. Wenngleich ich die Auffassung teile, dass es sich hier um das Deutsche "Krauts"- Unterforum handelt.

perhaps, out of mutual courtesy and respect, we should simply put an end to this political debate.

The fact is, Americans have more national pride than we Germans will ever be allowed to have again, and that’s why a phrase like “Trumpistan” can come across as very offensive.

Our government, with Chancellor Friedrich Merz—who has broken every campaign promise and is a complete disaster as head of government—tempts me, as a small business owner with 250 employees, to leave the country, but my national pride forbids it. Every nation has its own burdens to bear, and that should simply be enough, without stepping on anyone else’s toes. Although I do share the view that this is the German “Krauts” subforum.
