I now feel officially old and British. I’ve not even heard of some of these artists! 🤣

So. British and possibly for us old rockers…

Hawkwind : Deathtrap

Talisk : Dystopia

Ian Dury : Waiting for your taxi

Jethro Tull. : too old to rock ‘n’ roll, too young to die

PS. Who the heck is Taylor Swift

okay, more British bands :)
- Queen: I'm in love with my car.
- Queen: Don't stop me now
- Hawkwind/Motörhead: Silver Machine (plays on a Donny-grey one as good as on a silver one)
- Deep Purple: Highway Star

1. Clever Trevor 😄 ...sanded off his winkle with his Black & Decker drill...
2. Aqualung. Snot running down his nose... guitar solo best ever?
3. Yes , who is Taytay? I can , hand on heart , say I wouldn't recognise any of her songs in a lineup. I guess I stopped listening to the radio in the early 90s.

Freddie hated that one!
If you're not a car guy , it would grate!
"In love with my car" isn't the best Queen song, for sure but I like that Rog got his way.

Okay, more car and driving related music for our Grenadiers:
- Saxon: "Wheels of steel"
- Amon Düül: "Archangel's Thunderbird" (some Krautrock)
- Girlschool: "Kick it down"
- Cinderella: "Gypsy Road"
- Judas Priest: "Heading out to the highway"
- Greta van Fleet: "Highway Tune"
- Van Halen: "Panama"

As a slight spin on this, a student just asked me what my favorite song is. I asked if he meant of “all time” and he said yes. Hard question to answer so I pose this to you…

My gut reaction was Kashmir but it’s an epic question that deserves more thought.

No claim, AC/DC is an Aus band initially formed in Sydney, no British claim registered
I don’t disagree but offer this - both frontmen are British born. Scott moved to Oz as a lad, but Johnson is a Geordie through and through.

All time favourite song? There are so many fantastic songs, in so many genres, and so many fantastic artistes....... But for me there is one that has always stood out. Played loud, with plenty of bass to boost the percussion it has an almost ethereal quality. Get past the dual languages. It's available on youtube and spotify amongst other places without doubt.

Band: Capercaillie

Song: When You Return.
