Main body of my Kenwood TS480 is under my seat with head on a Lido mount in the front. Works well.

What are you showing with the first pic? I do like that location.Fun weekend project!
Very similar setup to how I had this radio in my tacoma. Decided to just mount the radio to the passenger side center console. Clears the seat completely and doesn't get into leg room.
I used the Kaon mirror mount, great mount, super sturdy and the aluminum billet is really cool!
Their video on how to take the door panel off was very helpful and after that its a fairly easy run with the antenna to under the passenger seat.
Honestly just took the picture because it's cool to see the linkage of the transfer case lolWhat are you showing with the first pic? I do like that location.
The mirror mount is on my list. Waiting for that guy to get his website going. Looks like you did left side. I assume you can swap out the antenna pretty easily. I used the ghost antenna on my defender and it seemed pretty good. Subtle.
As of now, the Kaon mount is just for the DS.Would it be easier to mount the antenna on the passenger (right) door since the unit is on that side?
That Koan mount did you have to order form Australia or did you find in the states? ThanksFun weekend project!
