So can someone confirm that both shafts discussed in this thread do NOT suffer from the harmonic vibrations in the manner the AO shaft does? What’s the downside of these two shafts?

If you read the makers comments, you know what we know. You will likely have to service it at some point, but sudden failure seems off the table.

I’d like to add, if youve ever had to service the shaft that goes between the Gwagon transmission and the divorced t case, this really isnt any different, just one hell of a lot easier to get to, for MF’n sure. You wanna talk about German engineers telling you to go f**k yourself for servicing a wearable part….

Why service when you can sell a new part €€€$$$£££

I don't mind having to service the thing periodically. I just don't want the sudden failures that some folks have been having. Plus if these new shafts allow a slight lift, even better!

We have a 40mm Letech lift on our QM => we check before every drive.
But getting under the car is easy because of the lift ;-)

Hey guys.....I got that first dc to dc shaft that Dave got from Sven back in March. I finally had the time yesterday and threw it on and took it out for awhile, hit the interstate and took it up as high as 80. Drove it pretty hard trying to find some vibrations and sounds. So far I've had zero vibrations and cannot discern much difference than stock. I do have adjustable control arms and my caster is pulled back to around 1.7 so that might help with things a bit. I'm looking forward to seeing new version when you guys get your hands on it and if that proves to be the best solution I would consider switching over long term just for more piece of mind but I am very pleased initially with this version. If anything changes or I start feeling any vibes I'll report back.

Bill
