Front prop shaft snapped.

Elevated “Risk” of fire is enough for a recall .

You expect everyone’s grenadiers to be burning before action is taken?
No , but I'm just adding heresay to the heresay that exists on the internet gossip columns. For all I know, AI might be posting in forums.
Chinese whispers notwithstanding.
Someone will have the facts ,but might have their gonads under leash ;>)

Talking with the Sydney dealer the Stockton Beach incident was associated with the engine cover, as they were the dealer for that vehicle.

The forum has referenced two other engine bay fires since Stockton.
One in the Vic High Country (no confirmation yet if the engine cover was the main issue or a contributing factor), the other was the engine bay fire @globalgregors recently encountered.

Three engine bay fires in two years (one confirmed to be associated with the engine cover which is now being replaced as part of a campaign).

Of interest, I did a few months back have a turbo oil feed leak on the vehicle that produced enough smoke from the engine bay at the time to make me wonder if I was encountering the start of an engine bay fire.

I have since wondered if it could have lead to one, as I was stationary at the time and saw the smoke start (pulled over, engine off, bonnet up).

Back to prop shaft issues though this thread is intended for.
I’m now checking mine regularly.
