Episode 15 INEOS CEO Lynn Calder Interview Part 2

Both issues were discussed in Part 2. Not sure you are going to get what you want in the time frame you want.

INEOS is working on both issues.
Im patient, if their working on it I'll wait as its the 4X4 I need. They talk alot of what needs to be done and their team are working on it, but results speak louder than words. For $135k I dont expect to be taking it back to a dealer for HVAC issues or drive 2 hrs for a simple dealer code reset. We've got plenty of qualified mechanics that are competent to carry out minor servicing in WA. We only have one service agent in WA compared to how many more over east.

Servicing is also a problem in SA and Canberra.

I just had my call from the invitation letters they sent out. The 2 areas I focused on for “opportunities to improve” were heating/AC (including also the winterization and fogging issues, water ingress/condensation, etc), and the service network and 3rd-party access, with a special emphasis on markets with big geographies (Australia, Canada and US). Could have hit a lot of other points, but it was just a 15 minute call.

I feel like the spirit of what Lynne said in this interview goes directly against what customers are being told by Holman Ineos in Florida.

A customer on facebook reports:
This is the response from Holman Ineos if you don’t pay them $1400 for an oil change. I have had multiple issues with them since my purchase.
“Good morning, we are not able to reset the light unfortunately, if it was not performed by us we can not reset it as that puts a liability on us and claims we performed the service required as per ineos
--Chris Martinez Holman Motorcars”

This is part 2 of a series, we advise to listen to part 1 first.

Join us for the second part of our engaging conversation with Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive. We pick up where we left off with Lynn talking about JOB 1 rolling off the production line at Hambach and the team's response to what's next.
In this episode, we discuss dealer networks, servicing partnerships and answer a few of the recent production decisions as well as finally put to bed the question of the Grenadiers RECARO seats and that Jim personally said no vanity mirrors, sorry mum.

Hi Stu, Surely Lynn Calder would have know of the financial situation of the Ineos group at the time of these Podcasts...... Did you have any idea? I have just bought a Trialmaster wagon 😵‍💫

Ineos is a huge global multi interest organisation. Lots of these style companies have large depts based on money owed. Yes, reading these kind of articles is always a worry but the Automotive part is cutting jobs at the UK head office which is a very minor market that has little future with our current net-zero led government. They are opening up a new head office in New Jersey and opening up new markets. If you live in a land of net -zero MPs then it will obviously decline, if you live in Trump land then you are a winner.

No, it hasn’t been resolved. Dealerships are swapping out AC units. We’re hoping INEOS is working on a redesigned HVAC unit.
It's a bit of both. If your dealer is competent they can make it 'work', it will if they put the work in, you then need to learn its idiosycracies and work around them. The systems is poor (cr*p), and Ineos said they were working on a fix that can be retrofited.

I’m ok with how it is, but I do prefer having a redesigned retrofitted unit. I also know that others have had some bad experiences with the unit. So I am a bit lucky on that front. Overall, my Grenadier has had all but minor issues that one can live with and some that the dealer has fixed for me. I do feel it is something INEOS needs to address to give us a much better experience with our trucks.

My HVAC system was useless to start with and has slowly improved with all the work that has been carried out on it, as i said, it now 'works'. It's just easy to confuse it if I'm not careful.
