AUSTRALIAN OWNERS
Some discussion around Australia at 17 minutes. Briefly touches on GVM upgrades, remote repairs and some of the unique challenges in Australia (and Africa). It is on INEOS' radar. INEOS are working on GVM upgrade with third party, not clear which country but it maybe JMACX in Australia.

Back on Australia at 28 minutes about INEOS and Toyota's.

INEOS are willing to listen and working hard to implement their promises.

Recognizing some of their mistakes and taking ownership and trying to fix systems and mistakes.

Calder seemed open, honest and genuine.

Most interesting points for me …

Lynn bought a Grenadier herself before she became CEO. 🙂

She talked about the online manual being free for early adopters, not just free for one year. 🤔

Enjoyed the listen while slogging through the 10 traffic between Venice and DTLA. I'm looking forward to more of the IG talk and less about touchy/feely INEOS business. A chief engineer technical feature and dev tales would be awesome.

Thank you!

Fantastic thank you gents and Lynn - really appreciated. My I.G. has been fantastic and does what it's meant to do and I intend to keep it long term.

Thank you for the response regarding the manuals but I'm not sure I understood the availability of diagnostics, perhaps in the next episode? Look at it this way: I'm in outback Aus some 1000klm from an Ineos agent and I have an issue. Other than an Ineos service centre some 1000klm away I have a number of mechanics willing to work on the vehicle to get me going but I elected not to have manual access as I don't DIY. How quickly can we get manual access for a non Ineos mechanic or is this via myself. Alongside this, the vehicle needs electronic diagnostics... if a third party cannot access the ECU's for a bi-directional query or read Ineos specific fault codes, then is it back to towing the vehicle back to an Ineos agent some 1000klm away?

Lynn did mention specific markets and I'm somewhat surprised that Ineos was not aware of Aus specifics early on. I'm sure many early adopters on the pre production drives would have mentioned the inadequacy of the small fuel tank but that was still retained. (Yes aftermarket is available now but even my 07 touareg stock has 100 litres.) Then there's the load capacity, once I put 300kg on the tow ball there's not much left stock. (I have an aftermarket upgrade now) Imagine how many more vehicles Ineos would have sold if they had an optional GVM, GCM, Tow capacity upgrade from factory.. something akin to the new Ranger Super Duty that's attracting considerable attention in Aus and from all reports will do very well, particularly for towing - a segment of market somewhat missed by Ineos.
