Engine Failure

There is a lot to be concerned about here. As someone that has been down for over a month at the shop, it hits home. Rear diff locker issue and non covered driveshaft issue.

1. Towing 100 miles is completely absurd, it should be maybe 500miles given the dealer network and maybe a discount for further.
2. An engine is not 65,000.00 in parts, hell a full blown and built new BN58 is 15K all over the internet, other options much cheaper.
3. Hiding what the environmental factor is, that is terrible. We are seeing a lot of duck and cover, and similar with software access or dealing with the front drive shaft disaster.
4. That 3rd party call center is a train wreck. I had trouble communicating with them, but since it would have been a 2500.00 tow bill I of course gave up.

If Ineos told the world this was the result of exceeding maximum wading depth (watch the videos, note that this vehicle with no RAI is notably absent in the water crossings) the owner would not be warrantable and would likely also have his insurance claim denied.

He is getting his car back fixed.

I suspect INEOS did the owner a big favour, but they will get grief instead.

Sure did not look like much. If its that easy to ingest water, I would have done it. I have had water over the hood. That being said, clarity on what went wrong stops the rumor mill.
