HI all

Spent a couple of days (actually a couple of hours over a few days) refining the mount - mounts a 120a and 50a anderson into one of the rear bash plate slots - fits up ok - I havent wired it yet - and have a few concerns over the bend radius of the cable exiting the anderson plug as the heat shield is directly behind it. I'm not at the wiring point yet so hope there is room for a reasonably flexible cable.

Still on the fence for the rear clamps - ideally a stainless or painted steel plate with welded nuts but a decently strong 3d print I think will work well enough too (with enough walls and infill)

Happy to take on suggestions.. or if anyone wants to try it let me know

Neat. My Anderson plug is mounted in a similar position but is fitted in an off the shelf housing.

The NATO plug is within the wade height hence seal sealing cap. Is there a water sealing cap for the andersons?

I beleive the Anderson is 'designed' to have everything flow through it.. you can get push in caps and rear boots, but none of them would give a 100% watertight seal and in some cases would probably hold moisture in (we have the same issue in Aus with boat trailer bearings - the rubber caps seal until you put a hot wheel in the water and it cools down and sucks the water into the bearing..) I was debating orientation too of the andersone - so like @Rok_Dr pointing up could have benefits for less dirt sitting in there - I have a design in progress that aligns them like this also.

I also dont beleive the anderson on the grenadier is sealed - thee is a link I beleive to a standard seal that does fit and works though

By the way I'm not sure this is in the right place.. I thought it was originally for self designed stuff and ideas... but having re-read the description i'm now not so sure!

Moderators feel free to move if its not appropriate.

Is that the 120a or the 50a unit? nice fit either way - i was just trying to avoid drilling holes :)
Just a 50amp plug. Like you I like to avoid drilling holes, but in this case it was my sparky who did the install and the housing they used while not waterproof is dust resistant.

You are going to have to plug those sockets somehow - they will get full of grit very quickly.
There are plenty of push in boots on amazon though.

I was unsure how full of grit they would get - plugs in the mating face would definitly work - but the rear - sits directly behind the heatsheild so hopefully wouldnt get too caked - I've seen these things fixed to towbars and get smashed with dirt and dust and still last for years.. in Aus at least.. not to say thats a good thing to have happen to them though!
