I guess you know that Rival is a Russian company with their headquarters located in Yekaterinburg, Russia that also provides equipment to the Russian war machine?

I didnt know that. Found from Google that they left Russia and moved HQ to Dubai as the war broke out and sanctions came to be. manufacturing is now in turkey and in kazakhstan.

It is super hard to figure out if the company is still in russia at all or not. I did an entity search on the US state departments entity search and got zero hits on rival 4x4. There is one hit on Rival, its an russian oil tanker with that name. My guess is that they left russia all together.

I find it hard to believe that they can avoid the entity list if they have any connection to russia so my guess is that they completely left russia for dubai and new factories as the war started.
I didn't want to pay the search fee to find the ownership information of the US based company.

The Dubai office will be just be a sales office to avoid scrutiny.

Buy from US or EU manufacturers and dont support Putin!

Even their LinkedIn account show 6 employees, three of whom live in russia. Dubai is a front to avoid sanctions.

I'm not so sure. there are full sanctions against dual use companies, especially in the transportation sector. I find it hard to believe these guys can skirt those sanctions with a representative sales office.

We don't offroad with the hitch installed. They have a wheel.insert for that. Maybe not the best idea to rely on the hitch.

I don't have the hitch installed either, but I've found that the amount that the hitch reciever sticks out has been enough for me to catch on a couple of times.

@parb If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck then its a duck. Replace duck with russian. If you buy Rival's stuff you are supporting Putins invasion of Ukraine.

This was a great read a few years back. Probably a little more poignant now.
