Agreed, but the Grenadier was certainly never meant to travel at those speeds for sustained periods. I'm not one to complain because I used to cruise my real D90 at 85mph+ upwards of 650miles at a time. And I developed a custom OD to allow my Unimog 1300L to do over 80mph. I'm not scared of speed is my point.

But back on point, a smooth Autobahn at any speed will not display the issues with the Grenadiers steering. Our Autobahns here in Texas are not smooth by any standard. And the Highways in Colorado are famously total disasters.

No, not what's being said. But the crappy steering geometry is most certainly revealed with crappy highway infrastructure and high speeds.

Given the aerodynamics, I'd be curious how long a full tank of gas could sustain 100mph.

You would not drive at that speed for more than thirty minutes as the transfer case gets hot and you will get an oil pressure warning.
The handling- at least in my world- does not get better or worse when driving longer at a certain speed.
And regarding the smoothness of the choosen road I don’t see the need for going that fast on a gravel road or a bumpy side road

Given that you do not get a overheated tranfer case it would be short to 350 km with a diesel and presumably less than 280 km with a petrol engine…
(The consumption has been 26,5 litres of diesel/100 km)

I certainly wouldn't drive much above 80mph for more than a few minutes at best.

Handling does not change based on time at speed, you just don't care as much when driving 30min vs 4hrs.

I'm not talking gravel roads, well they aren't supposed to be gravel but they might as well be. Rather I am talking regular highways in Texas and Colorado. Colorados roads just suck. Texas roads are perpetually under construction it seems. These are roads that regular vehicles are traveling anywhere from 70mph to over 90mph for very long durations.

I'm just not sure where the disconnect is here, there are plenty of people that have reported handling issues. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones without. Or maybe like others you have just accepted the poor handling and just don't care because you don't know how great it is when they drive right. Well, mostly right.

I find it interesting that those with handling issues are accepting that others don't have the problem, but those that don't seem to have any issues are adamant that the people with issues must be pussies, Dandy's or just plain old Mall Crawling complainers and they need to suck it up or sell their truck and get a Subaru.

Not telling you that you have a problem, I'm telling you I have a problem. A problem that I have mostly resolved. I have tested the truck in multiple configurations one of which allowed Death Wobble. That's real Death Wobble not just a jiggly steering wheel like I suspect most are thinking of.
