Just got a custom GP bull bar, they removed the bend in the lower center bar for me. I like clean lines and simple so this did the trick. GP is awesome to work with and I love their design.
This should hold me over till arb releases something at least! All the aftermarket stuff now seems to have some crazy bends and angles...it's all "jeep" styling. I hope a more simple defender style version of bumpers comes out soon from someone...

Very clean looking design and amazed they’d do a special request like that… Kudos to GP. I’d also do the straight lower bar just like you did but instead ask them to curve the upper center section so the top bar follows the hood line sort of like __——__ as it would allow me install a recessed light bar behind the top part of grill and shine forward unobstructed. I’d like to keep the bar clean and avoid mounting anything on it directly.

The only other small detail would be covers to hide the bolt heads on the front mounts but I wouldn’t consider that a deal breaker not to have. Maybe it could attach using pins inserted into hidden key-slots and the covers could have a small GP logos embossed or CNC’d into them? Since their bar is bolt together it would be great if they could offer few different center sections. I’m very tempted as is to go with a GP bar as I have other accessories from them which are very high quality and want to stick with their brand.

Some other front bars out there for the Grenadier remind me of Dame Edna’s spectacles :)

Hahaha so true. There are some wildly engineered pieces out there for such a simple rig.
Yeah the bolts on the front are the only thing I'm not fond of but I'm not sure what solution there is besides like a plastic snap on cover...

I need one where the top bar is higher than the hood so I can run a strap from the bull bar to the front of my kayak on the roof without the strap rubbing on the hood.

Looks nice! But I’m still very fond of the OG!!View attachment 7896232
Something I've been wondering about many of these bull bars is once installed, do they narrow beam of light coming from the off-road lights? For example, in this photo I can only see a small portion of the passenger side off-road light. I've installed the Clearwater lights on mine and would hate to block the wide light out to the side.

You can buy a part and have a local shop refabricate it, if you cant yourself. It's not difficult.

I haven’t noticed any reduction in lighting. Here’s a head on photo from the installation today.
