Looking at storage options I have seen several after market L-Track kits to replace the internal cargo bay side anchors with ~2’ of L tracks. I got excited until I realized my cargo area is not relieved between the anchors for a section of L-tracks. Is that an additional mod or a different cargo configuration?

Picture below for reference.

It's not relieved in the picture you've attached. It must have spacers on the anchor points to make the L track sit along the panel. Or have you seen other versions where it is relieved?

You need to make two spacers to get the track to be flush with the plastic surface. And two longer bolts. I find mine to be used often.

Thanks, I think this would be a good place to strap a few packs I have in the back.

The side L-track becomes almost essential if you have a drawer system in the back since the floor anchor points become inaccessible.
