Belstaff Jackets

Magna Steyr designed, engineered & built the prototypes of the Grenadier.

The company (as Steyr Daimler Puch) and originally manufactured rifles, then bicycles, before going on to build motobikes and vehicles, especially 4WD's; so I guess Grenadier could have also offered customers a rifle or bicycle to keep with the heritage theme

Ineos own Belstaff so giving them an order for 10,000-20,000 jackets is a good move financially and commercially

Yeah it would be interesting to find out exactly what Jackets they are.
I cannot image they would be presenting everyone with shite jackets that are cheaply made - as that doesn't sit well with the company ethos they are trying to promote.

Oh, imagine if we had some real news to talk about, rather than crapping on about jackets.

The sad part is that in another month real vehicles will be out there
There will be test drive reviews
Owners will be putting up all the actual details
There will be nothing to speculate about, no guessing, just factual information

Whatever happened to/with MBtech?

"German company MBtech, a former subsidiary of Mercedes Benz, has been awarded the engineering contract for INEOS Automotive’s planned 4x4, announced in September 2017 as Projekt Grenadier.

The appointment represents a significant step forward in the realisation of INEOS’s plans to build an uncompromising world class 4x4 vehicle.

Over 200 German engineers will be working full-time on the project in Stuttgart by spring 2018.

Dirk Heilmann, CEO of INEOS Automotive, said: “This deal will bring together German engineering and British design and entrepreneurship to create a truly formidable off roader.”

I must admit with Ineos close ties to Mercedes I was surprised it didn't have a MB engine in it
Maybe the fact MB plans to be 100% electric by 2030 may have been a factor.

Except of course offroad mods...and tuning...and bigger sound systems & talk of 40" wheels
All because the Euro engineers weren't quite up to the task ;)

Aaah. Thank you.
You have given me reason to carry on
Well otherwise we'd just have to disperse and travel to the 4 corners alone 😢
We're not buying these cars to pootle around the burbs! Well I'm not!

Just been in touch with Belstaff Jackets, it appears that the have discontinued all the larger sized jackets ie EU 60 and above!
In my case I will be paying for a Trialmaster jacket that they will not be able to supply!
