Petrol/Gas B58 Overheat at Highway (Motorway) Speed

Okay, some of you all had asked for an update: Not sure if I should eventually start a new thread, but here it goes:

Took vehicle in beginning of January:
  1. Checked for stored codes and found none stored. Checked coolant level and found it to be within ok range. Pressure tested cooling system. Looked for any exterior leaks and found none. Removed coil packs and spark plugs. Using borescope, inspected cylinders for any signs of coolant entering system and found no signs. After 30 minutes pressure dropped about 2psi, which is ok. After verifying no leaks checked operation of cooling fan and found no operation. Checked resistance of cooling fan and readings indicated open circuit of fan motor. Bench tested fan and there was no operation. Drained high temp coolant. Disconnected radiator hoses. Released cooler lines and hoses from securing clips on fan shroud. Disconnected fan electrical connector. Removed power steering and positive battery connection point bracket. Removed and replaced fan assy. Reinstalled parts in reverse order of removal. Vacuum bled cooling system and then performed self bleed procedure. Verified no external leaks after repair. Test drove vehicle and verified no overheating
I don't daily drive this vehicle. Basically sat on trickle charger after taking it back from the dealer until scheduling appointment to get windshield replaced and software update / door button recall. Upon driving it ~3 hours down to Atlanta engine starts running hot on the highway. No warning lights come on. I only notice because throttle starts losing power, e.g. it has to struggle to maintain ~80 mph going up slight hills. So they look at it again, but they have no loaner vehicle for me, and I'm only in Atlanta for 24 hours, not sure how thorough they could go over it, but they even drove it to see if they could replicate issue and it didn't happen.
Test drove vehicle and did not see the temp gauge fluctuate. Checked coolant level and it was in spec. Performed

thermostat are performing correctly, and results were showing everything is functioning
So I pick up vehicle and again after 45 minutes or so on the highway it starts running hot again. I won't say overheating because the check engine light isn't coming on. But you can see from the photo it's getting very hot. Also notice how the gear is 5. It should be 7th gear but transmission is having to downshift to keep the speed that I want. Take into account this is not a crazy-steep mountain pass out west and I'm not towing anything. I'm merely trying to maintain 80 mph on a small hill on I-85 north of Atlanta. So, I obviously back off the gas and drive slower. Engine is still running hot but not 200 degrees hot. When I get on two lane roads even going up steep hills to get into North Carolina it doesn't run as hot. I get home and when the radiator is cooled check the levels and the levels are normal.

So, I'm really at a loss of what to do, because I can't make this be like a part time job and keep driving back down to Regal in Atlanta, not get a loaner vehicle, and have them check it and say they can't find anything wrong with. I know @samnt650 got a new engine for what seems like the same issue, and he's connected me with techs at RDS in Philly so maybe they can interact with techs at Regal. I also don't know the process to escalate to Ineos HQ other than filing complaint with NHTSB. But I don't feel like I can safely drive it on long trips or take it off roading because I don't trust whatever is going on with the engine. Only thing I can think is that if there actually isn't anything wrong with the engine and borescope doesn't show any damage, maybe there is some faulty ECU that's getting inaccurate readings, and it thinks the engine is super hot and that's why it cut's power and makes the transmission work over time. I should have checked transfer case temperature but I don't think it was running. hot.
 
That's crazy, I made a run to Flagstaff bc PHX was 118degrees I set cruise at 80 and go up I17 which gains more than 1 mile in elevation between Phoenix and Flagstaff. No issues here and it rare kicked down below 6th gear. I wonder if you need to have the TCM reset to relearn your driving patterns????

Basically sat on trickle charger after taking it back from the dealer until scheduling appointment to get windshield replaced and software update / door button recall. Upon driving it ~3 hours down to Atlanta engine starts running hot on the highway. No warning lights come on. I only notice because throttle starts losing power, e.g. it has to struggle to maintain ~80 mph going up slight hills. So they look at it again, but they have no loaner vehicle for me, and I'm only in Atlanta for 24 hours, not sure how thorough they could go over it, but they even drove it to see if they could replicate issue and it didn't happen.

This exact situation happened to me for the 2nd time today. The first time was in freeway traffic going under 30mph. Today I was going 65-70 mph up the 15 fwy in San Diego. I first noticed the loss of power, then the thermostat pegged to the top. It would go from pegged back to the middle then back to the top, then back to the middle. I was hoping to find something hopeful in your post, but that was not to be. I hope Mossy Ineos has a solution, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

No I haven’t. The heat has never worked reliably. I had the check engine light light come on last week after I filled up. I had the software update to fix that issue. I thought it might be related to the over fueling issue (but I didn’t fill it all the way because I was in a hurry). So I was going to take it to Mossy Ineos this week anyway to address the heater, and check engine light. I let it cool down today and checked both coolant reservoirs. The small one was good, but the large one was empty. I added maybe some coolant. I’m going to check it tomorrow morning. Sorry for the long answer to a short question.
 
No I haven’t. The heat has never worked reliably. I had the check engine light light come on last week after I filled up. I had the software update to fix that issue. I thought it might be related to the over fueling issue (but I didn’t fill it all the way because I was in a hurry). So I was going to take it to Mossy Ineos this week anyway to address the heater, and check engine light. I let it cool down today and checked both coolant reservoirs. Do you think this will resolve the engine temperature issue?
The reason why I asked about work on the HVAC is that another owner had an overheating issue that turned out to be the thermo fan that wasn't reconnected after some work done. The HVAC didn't work on cooling ( I know this as I drove it 300klms in 34C heat) We drove it down some local tracks and it overheated, only after a call to the local Ineos master tech and some trial and error on what was under the hood did they find that the thermo fan plug was not attached.

There are 3, it's the one in the middle (engine) the other 2 are for transfer case and an additional one for the motor from memory, the auto gearbox has a heat exchanger.
