For anyone who would like to go through the effort of pulling wires to use the factory Auxiliary light switch in the roof control panel to trigger a relay to turn on your aftermarket grill lights.

I pulled the wires this afternoon,
The wire on the switch you’re looking for is the Brown and yellow wire.

I'm assuming that you tapped off the output of the switch. Is this a 12V signal? Do you have any idea where the relays are for the headlamps are? I don't see any fuses for these? How are they controlled?

carpetman

It is a 12v output signal.
As far as I know, the headlights have no fuse or relay and are controlled by the BCM

In Australia our Auxiliary light switch can be used anytime but the lights are linked to the high beam switch.
I leave my auxiliary switch on all the time and whenever I use high beam the headlight s go from standard to high and the 2 auxiliary candles also come on.
Very different to some countries that require off road mode

As per UK and EU spec. The only issue I have is it needs switching back on after every ignition off, like the stop/start. In fact the only thing that doesn't reset are the courtesy lights!

Mine stays on most times.
The stop start also stays switched off if the motor is only turned of for a short while.
No idea about the courtesy lights, in fact i don't remember ever seeing any.
