Applies to every light vehicle to 4.5t gvm.Classed as a Medium Commercial Vehicle so NVES does not apply? Think it only applies to Passenger and Light Commercial Vehicles.
The legislation allows the Minister to grant exemptions to various types of vehicles including light duty off road and medium commercial vehicles. Looks like Ineos will rely on being granted an exemption:Applies to every light vehicle to 4.5t gvm.
That was submitted in 2024. Will the introduction this year of BYD Shark, Fords Phev Ranger and GWM Phev ute change the submission? The Grenadier's exemption on the grounds of a purposeful offroad vehicle could mean Toyota has applied for the same exemption for LC70 in as it is sold and invoiced as Land Cruiser 70 Military and is also exempt from LCT.The legislation allows the Minister to grant exemptions to various types of vehicles including light duty off road and medium commercial vehicles. Ineos submission on proposed NVES
Toyota may not need the exemption given all the hybrid Camrys, RAV4s, Corollas and Yaris they sell that help offset all the Hilux and LCs (but I am sure they will still apply for one). Ford probably have the biggest challenge as the only vehicles they sell here are Rangers and Mustangs (and a few Transit vans). That was submitted in 2024.
