I went through all the steps I could to try to remedy it and no dice. The next morning I went out to the dealership and the Service manager hopped in the truck and went through all the steps I had already attempted on my own. We did it a couple of times to no avail. Then he connected his phone and it worked fine. Here is the lesson: Be sure and reboot your phone if you can't get it to work. I rebooted my phone (iPhone 12) and it hasn't missed a beat since.
