ADAS Update? Is this really happening?

Well all I have to say is I have NEVER been able to get the OTA update to work on my canoe, and it didn’t even come with a backup camera. At this price point, I think that’s unacceptable. Father Larry tried to perform an exorcism and I took it to the Wicca retreat center for a moonlight crystal healing dance and zip - nada - nihil. The entire state of Wisconsin has expended the full extent of its intellectual and spiritual powers, to no avail.
Canoes can be like that sometimes. I find it's best to just let them sit out in the sun in your backyard for about 15 years and then check. They usually will have updated by then unless they were made by Grumman. Those never seem to update.

Ok - I’ll let you know in 10 years or so - thanks for the advice - I’m not so much of a techy so wouldn’t have figured out that procedure

No the ADAS functionality does not change at all, the only difference is that it remembers the setting you leave it in.

If you disable all ADAS functions, or the lane warning, you'll still get the icon on the telltale cluster

That makes sense - much like pressing Off Road Mode - you should know what's off and when. It's also likely a requirement from the legal department. As long as there's no additional warnings on the center screen I can live with it.

Hi Folks – I went into my dealership for an oil and differential fluid change last week and apparently I was the first person in the US to get the new ADAS update. In short, it caused a failure of my speed sensor camera. They have ordered me a new one, but, as a result… of either my dead speed camera or the software update (not sure which!) I no longer get the ticking noise when I rip past the posted speed limit.
Update: took the two mile drive to my local dealership and, after 6 hours hooked up to the computer, the replacement speed camera would not take the program upload. They are ordering me another new camera. I’ll opt out of “Guinea Pigging” next time. - Mark
