Thread 'Midland Ghost antenna fender mount'
I saw a post on IG or FB about a week or so ago from someone who was working on a mount for the Midland Ghost antenna that put it on the front right or left fender near the cowl. Like a lip mount you see sometimes. I can't find it anymore and wondered if anyone knew of a company making a mounting bracket to fit an antenna there on a Grenadier?? Sorta' like this without the ditch light portion.....
Can someone tell me how to set lighting so the light around the key ignition comes on when I open the door. A bit of a challenge at night. Thanks
I am looking for help isolating which additional fuses, if any, (besides FL29) may have been blown overloading INT 2? I wired up chase lights (2 BD S2 Pros), which are rated to draw 1.7amp each, along the frame rail, up through the passenger footwell, and into INT 2. It blew the fuse. (The light indicator on the overhead switch powering INT 2 stopped working and I got NO reading on my voltmeter from the wires in the footwell). I replaced fuse FL29 w/ 10amp Mini fuse and it appeared to...
The winch solenoid control is behind the Right Headlight. Wondering if anyone looked into the wiring and figure out how to get an "emegency by-pass" I like to know how to re-wire, operate the winch without engine running...
Thread 'What are these wires? (trailer brake controller)'
While installing my EcoFlow alternator charger I came across these wires under the rear seat. I do not have the extra aux switches so I really have no what they are stubbed out for.
Thread 'Mystery Plug'
Hey guys, We are busy doing some work On our demo Grenadier and I came Across this plug behind the plastic trim pieces. It’s located just behind the rear seat in the load space on the left hand side. Anyone know what it’s for?
I’m slowly finding my way around my new grenadier and enjoying it very much so far. One thing that I’ve not worked out yet though is how to adjust the lighting level on the compass/altimeter. At present it’s ok to read in the dark but very difficult to see in daylight and the instrument and screen lighting adjustments don’t seem to do anything to the compass. Can anyone enlighten me (pardon the pun!)
Just picked up my 2024 Grenadier, wireless Andriod auto is enabled. You cannot connect via the USB port anymore. USB ports for charging only. Andriod Auto now fills bigger area, the device, phone buttons no longer present.
Thread 'OBD2 Reader, CarPlay & DPF%'
A bit of background, followed by a question ... I've just purchased an OBDLink CX Bluetooth OBD Adapter, as shown here: https://www.obdlink.com/products/obdlink-cx/ Rather than using the suppliedOBDLink app, I'm using the Car Scanner app (which is CarPlay compatible), shown here: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/car-scanner-elm-obd2/id1259933623 I’ve set it up to show the parameters that were of interest to me, from the available choices. The appearance on the infotainment screen...
Has anyone fitted a Redarc Smart Battery Monitor to their Grenadier battery? If yes, any feedback on it accuracy and usefulness? It may be of use on the aux battery, if you have all your accessories wired to it. However, I am not even sure it will work in the IG, and I am still doing some research. It would have worked on my old Patrol, if wired correctly. View: https://youtu.be/2sn1_8Mygd8 View: https://youtu.be/mQwpoWSf2PQ?t=41
Hi all, I know I can just create my own lights by getting the DTP plugs, but I’m trying to find something easy. Anyone know a good wide angle light for my roof that uses the DT plug?
I'm adding a sub with a remote control knob. I'm considering making a new plate for the plate that holds the volume knob, relocate the volume knob to the left and place a sub knob on the same plate. I figure I can buy anodized aluminum plate in the right dimension and color which I plan to drill mounting holes into as well as knob mounting holes. Laser engrave the volume and sub label on the plate. Anyone done this? Seems like a really natural place to add a bass knob rather than into the...
Thread 'NAS Interior Fuse Box Picture Wanted'
I'm currently researching what each relay does and with the fuse changes between ROW and NAS spec vehicles I believe that some relays have also been moved/swapped compared to my car. If anyone in North America could possibly take a picture of their interior fuse box and post it here or PM it to me it would be appreciated. Just need it to be clear enough that I can compare the micro relay numbers Pic of my interior fuse box attached as an example. Cheers Steve
Thread 'Footwell Outlet'
Looking to connect to the footwell outlets. Followed Canny Outdoors video - however when I expose the footwell the wire configuration if different to his. Here is a picture of mine - can someone advise where the aux output wires are? Thanks
Hi All, I’m currently installing a UHF into our IG. The unit is installed behind the dash in the passenger (LH) foot well & the aerial is on the LH side of our bull bar. Because we have safari windows, we unfortunately don’t have the spare grommet available to pass through the fire wall as many others have done in the past (and shown in John Canny’s YouTube) Has anyone else discovered other great entry points into the cabin from the engine bay (without having to drill a new hole)? Any...
Anyone know a way to disable seatbelt alarms?
Today I filled the gas tank to full. The gauge read about 1/8 tank with a remaining g range of 34, which I am fine with. When I started the vehicle the gauge read the same with 34 DTE reading. I had an hour drive ahead, so I drove along and the fuel gauge crept higher with the DTE staying at 34. By the end of my 56 mike ride, the gauge was almost at full, still lit up in red with 36 DTE. Anyone seen this issue. New 2024 with 810 mi K es.
Every recent vehicle that I've owned has the internal (door-mounted) lock/unlock feature active regardless of whether the vehicle is on or off. When I turn off my Grenadier and open the door, the lock feature doesn't work, although I can engage this this via the key fob. Is this intentional or a problem?
Thread 'So What plug ADAS'
So, witch of these do you think is the ADAS signal carrier.
Thread 'ANCEL BM200 - NEW BATTERY MONITOR'
Ancel has released [or should that be relaunched] a new battery monitor to the market, that may challenge my favoured choice the BLE Battery Monitor. It comes in a base (BM200) and pro model (BM200Pro). The base model links to the supplied app. The Pro model; comes with its own screen and control module. I am testing both. It has a lot of features in common with the BLE, not sure whether it is an improved version by Ancel or Ancel copied the BLE. One big difference is the Ancel app can...
